The idea of wellness first surfaced in the late 1970s but I didn’t catch on to the trend until visiting Munich, Germany in the early 1990s. From the early 2000s, travel wellness and ‘Healing Hotels’ have been near the top of every list of travel trends and are now almost mainstream in the travel industry.
